Seasons Eternal
The natural world is fascinating and mysterious in its wonder. Its annual cycle has
no beginning and no end. It is a miraculous, ever-changing circle; center less, yet with boundaries far
and wide.
The artist finds trees particularly powerful metaphors for the individual and for the couple. At times,
we find strength reaching out and interacting with those near to us; at other times, we find strength in
our solitude. Robert Saslow tried to capture this in this piece, depicting some trees huddled close
together, and others more separated.
